  1. Welcome to patch number 5 for NNTP 1.5.
  2.  
  3.     If you have not installed the first four patches, you must do so
  4.     before proceeding. You can get those patches (and this one) from
  5.     anoymous ftp on bcm.tmc.edu [128.249.2.1] or by sending a message
  6.     to the archive-server@bcm.tmc.edu with the following text:
  7.     send public nntp.patch.1
  8.     send public nntp.patch.2
  9.     send public nntp.patch.3
  10.     send public nntp.patch.4.shar
  11.  
  12.     If you have all four patches installed, you are ready to install
  13.     this set of patches. These patches are packaged as a shell archive.
  14.     They are as follows:
  15.     CHANGES.diff  -- This will patch the CHANGES file in the root
  16.     of the nntp distrbution to reflect changes since the release of 1.5.
  17.     server.diff -- This patch is for the files in the server subdirectory.
  18.     To install, change directory to the server directory and type
  19.     patch < server.diff.
  20.     common.diff -- This patch is for the files in the common sub-
  21.     directory. To install, change directory to the common directory
  22.     and type patch < common.diff
  23.     xmit.diff -- This is a patch for nntpxmit.c in the xmit directory.
  24.     To install, change directory to the xmit directory and type
  25.     patch < xmit.diff.
  26.     support.diff -- This patch is for the files in the support sub-
  27.     directory. To install, change directory to the support directory
  28.     and type patch < support.diff.

  30. Please read the CHANGES file (following application of the patch) for
  31. a list of new features.
